The Grand Dichotomy (UCS v. Comic-Con)

I'm not going to Con *weep*

Here it is. The big week. Every geek who’s worth his salt is at one place on this Earth… at home, wishing he were at Comic-Con. As for the 90,000 or so who actually made the trip to San Diego, I wish you well. If you are a regular listener to our podcast, you are quite aware that Jeff, Barry, and Deb are already in the Nerdmare on Harbor Street. However, Paul and myself are at home wishing daggers into their hearts (with love). We are excited and anxious to see what tidbits they send our way. In the meantime, we are celebrating in our own way.

We’re taking the week off.

That’s right. There is no new podcast this week. But don’t fret, child. We shall return next week with our regularly scheduled podcasting. As Paul and I have to work extra hard this week at our jobs, we needed our own day of nerd celebration. Paul is celebrating with his yearly Pokemon wiener-puppet show. And I, Master Torgo, have decided to have my yearly Three Men and a Baby/Little Lady tri-cathalon where I slather my body in rich, creamery butter and have a midget slap me in the balls every time Guttenburg says something that isn’t funny. It’s cathartic.

So…. What are you doing instead of going to Con?

  1. I would love to say I am sitting at home but I am sure you both know where I am right now.

Well now – that’s a mental image I could have done without ;)
