On September 1st, 2008, Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton closed its doors for the last time. The Ugly Couch Show was on hand from open to close to bear witness to this historic event. We present to you our photos, interviews with fans, celebrities, aliens, employees both past and present, klingon drinking songs, andorian toasts, the wall of memories, and of course, the magificient closing ceremony.
As past employees, Star Trek: The Experience will always hold a special place in our hearts. The time we spent there was special to each of us, and the friends we made became family. The amazing things we were able to do and see while we were there were unparalleled. There will never another place and another time like that again. Ever.

Closing the star trek experience was one of the stupidest decisions by an incompetent executive ever!

Awesome coverage. I only wish they hadn’t closed. It was in my schedule to visit in 2009. It was one of the dumbest ideas ever conceived to close ST the Experience. They would still be handling thousands of guests. I know at least 20 ST fans, like myself that never made it due to military service that planned to go when we got out and organized. Sad,sad thing to happen.
Hey guys – my husband and i used to frequent the bar often and miss it so much! I received this box set as a gift a few weeks ago and it has some of the filming from the last day on it. i was excited to see myself flash by on screen! part of star trek history now!
