Have any of you guys ever had a friend turn totally hipster on you and now hates everything new such as movies and TV shows? Someone who bitches about those things constantly now even though they don’t even watch them and even claim to not care about them. This gets on my fucking nerves and I can’t stand to be around people like this. It’s pretentious hipster bullshit. If your were not interested or truly did not care, you would do as Paul said and just “let it go”. What this really is (in my opinion) is simply put “sour grapes”. They are pissed off that everyone else is enjoying something that they no longer allow themselves even the possibility to be interested in because they have become “too cool” to follow the heard anymore. You know the type I’m talking about. The type that treats the words “mainstream” and “pop culture” like they were the root of all fucking evil and all of us are stupid for liking anything they label as such. Anyway, sorry to vent.
