Oh, we love to stir the nerd-rage pot, don’t we? It’s even better when Michael Bay makes our job easier. That’s not the only thing that might send you into a tizzy. We also talk about the Spider that almost was, the Facebook bill, tweet theater, Mass Effect 3.1, The Hobbit, Hemlock Grove, Super-whaaaa(?), Mistborn, Carrie (3,4,..5?), the Rize of the D, Clerks Animated 2.0 and Soul Calibur 5. Just say “Yay” to “Bay”!

I can believe the teeming millions haven’t jumped on you about this yet. Siegel and Shuster created Superman while they were in High School, and then spent 6 years trying to get it published. They sold the rights to the character for $130 and a contract to right and draw superman material. There’s no doubt they got shafted, nut I haven’t seen anything that shows that they weren’t legally shafted.

It’s true. In the 70s, Neal Adams launched a campaign that got them an annual stipend for basically creating the character that launched the comic book industry as we know it. So some recompense was made.
